What is Group Analysis?

Group analysis is a form of psychoanalytically informed group psychotherapy that takes into account the individu-al in their social and cultural context. This is a unique form of psychotherapy that fully considers the individual in their current and developmental psycho-social environments.Group analysis is not only widely used in clinical psychiatric settings where it is intended to reduce mental distress and disturbance, but also widely applied, with modifications, in other settings such as education and consultancy to organizations. As our world becomes increasingly connected and globalized, amplifying problems of personal and intercultural communication, group analysis is a ‘psychotherapy for our time and place’ – no matter where that place is.
